Pharmachologic effect:
The coating on the wounds and burns ALGIPOR-A - effective wound healing resorbable coating made of sodium alginate - natural polysaccharide excreted from brown seaweed.
As an antiseptic, it contains furacilin, which is active against gram-positive microflora.
Clinical study of Algipor-A showed that Algipor-A has a stimulating effect on the development of granulation tissue and regeneration processes and promotes epithelialization. This property of Algipor-A is manifested in a pronounced effect of accelerating the healing of burns, wounds of various etiologies, trophic ulcers and bedsores.
ALGIPOR-A is intended for the treatment of 2-3a degree burns, sluggish wounds, trophic ulcers, bedsores, long-term non-healing wounds, including in cancer patients, as well as in the treatment of deep caries and pulpitis in dentistry.
ALGIPOR-A dressings stimulate regeneration processes, have good draining properties (absorb wound discharge), and accelerate wound cleansing.
Instructions:
Algipor-A is used externally. Algipor-A sheet is applied to the wound surface after preliminary treatment with an antiseptic solution. The bandage is applied so that the edges of the sheet are 0.5-1 cm outside the affected area, and fixed with a sticky or gauze bandage. Algipor-A is changed as it gets wet and resorbed on average after 1-3 days. The course of treatment depends on the course of the wound process and ranges from 1 to 10 dressings. At the end of the treatment, Algipor-A is left on the wound until it is rejected, together with the scab.
